Get involved

There's a role for everyone in helping Black youth thrive.

Thrive4Blacks programs run on the time, expertise, and generosity of people like you. Whether you have an afternoon a month or a full season to give, there's a way to get involved as a volunteer, mentor, sponsor, or program partner.

Four ways to help — pick the one that fits your time, skills, or resources

Hands-on support

Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of every workshop, festival, and program day at Thrive4Blacks. No special experience is required — just a willingness to show up and support children, youth, and families in our programs.

  • Assist facilitators during workshops, forums, and youth activities
  • Help set up, run, and pack down community events and festivals
  • Support day-to-day program administration and communications

Mentor with Thrive4Blacks
One-on-one guidance

Mentor

Mentors offer consistent, one-on-one guidance to a young person navigating school, career, or personal goals. It's a longer-term commitment that asks for patience, honesty, and a willingness to listen.

  • Meet with a matched mentee on a regular schedule
  • Support goal-setting around school, career, or life skills
  • Complete a short orientation before being matched

Fund what matters

Sponsor

Sponsors provide the funding that keeps specific programs, workshops, or cohorts running. Sponsorship can be a one-time gift tied to a program, or an ongoing commitment across a full season.

  • Fund a workshop, program cohort, or community event
  • Have your business or name recognized as a program sponsor
  • Receive updates on the outcomes your sponsorship supports
