The Administrator manages organizational finances and administration efforts, including
supervising any relevant in-house and third-party support. This role is also directly responsible
for the Language Referral & Support Program out of the Surrey Office and reports to the Director
of Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Finance Coordination
- Responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets throughout the year.
- Responsible for managing financial transactions and compliance with regulatory and funder requirements.
- Accountable for the timely delivery of all third-party financial services, including but not limited to audits, tax
filing, payroll, insurance/benefits etc.
B. Administration Coordination
- Responsible for year-round delivery of the Language Referral & Support Program
- Responsible for maintaining organization records, corporate updates, and meetings, including those
supporting programming and funder requirements. - Responsible for developing/implementing recruitment & onboarding processes.
- Accountable for regular stakeholder training and development.
- Accountable for policy and governance document development efforts
KEY DELIVERABLES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Prepare and submit monthly budget reconciliation reports.
- Provide detailed monthly updates and analytics for the Language Referral & Support Program to
track progress and impact. - Develop and present quarterly financial statements and reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Prepare quarterly and annual finance and administration activity reports for review and strategic
planning - Actively participate in regular operations and program meetings to align efforts with organizational
objectives. - Contribute to advancing the mission and vision of Thrive4Blacks through dedicated support and
collaboration.
JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION
- Strong understanding and/or demonstrated experience managing core financial processes, including but not
limited to budgeting, reporting, tax filing, auditing, etc. - Demonstrated experience managing core administrative processes within the charitable services space.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating targeted community-based programs or services.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-cultural setting and practice cultural humility.
- Experience with the IRCC-funded programming process will be an added advantage.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a full-time position 40 hours/week.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
- Work will be hybrid
- Program delivery activities will require full attention and priority.
- A clean vulnerable sector criminal record check is required.
