Part-Time Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing four key programs for youth and
children in the Halton region. These include the Youth Leadership Forum, Kids Book & Story-telling Forum, Youth
Financial Literacy Workshop, and Kids Financial Literacy Workshop. The coordinator will be required to manage
both in-person and virtual activities, engage with the community, and ensure the programs’ successful
implementation and delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Program Coordination:
Plan and execute four key programs for youth and children, including managing schedules, securing venues, arranging facilitators, and coordinating volunteers.
- Youth Leadership Forum: Monthly, Last Saturdays (except December) for youth ages 12-25
- Kids Book & Story-telling Forum: Monthly, Second Saturdays (except December) for children ages 6-11.
- Youth Financial Literacy Workshop: Quarterly, Third Saturday of the month (all virtual) for youth ages 12-19
- Kids Financial Literacy Workshop: Quarterly, Third Saturday of the month (all virtual) for children ages 6-1
B. Community Engagement:
Conduct outreach within the Halton region to promote the activities, build partnerships with at least two community organizations each month, and increase organizational visibility.
C. Volunteer Coordination:
Oversee volunteers and support staff to ensure smooth execution of activities. Work
with one Activity Support Worker and two Youth Volunteers on a monthly basis.
D. Data Collection and Reporting:
Collect timely data on program participation and prepare reports for completed activities. Ensure tracking of program outcomes, including meeting the goal of at least 25 participants per program.
E. Management Meetings:
Attend bi-weekly management meetings to provide updates on activity progress and
ensure alignment with organizational goals.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Successful execution of all programs with a minimum of 25 participants per program.
- Active community outreach and partnership building with at least two organizations per month
- Timely and accurate reporting of activity outcomes, including participation and engagement data
- Engage at least 25 participants in quarterly info sessions targeted at prospective program participants and
volunteers.
AVAILABLE RESOURCES:
- One Activity Support Worker (10 hours per month)
- Two Youth Volunteers (10 hours per month each)
- Retained Facilitators for all Activities
- Central Administrative Support for materials, book-keeping, and management oversight
- Laptop and accessories provided (must have own internet)
